From a visit to an answer

Each one answers a question you already have, and none of them needs building first. Segments run across all three, so any of these can be read for one group at a time.

    Funnels

Every step of a sequence, and the one that loses the most people.

    Retention

Whether the people you acquired last month are still here this one.

Three steps from nothing to numbers, and the first one is a copy-paste.

Fair questions. Straight answers.

Everything here is answerable without talking to anyone. The rest of them are on the guides index.

Is VisitWatch free to start?

Every plan begins with a 14 day trial and does not ask for a card. At the end of the trial the workspace pauses rather than charging you.

How does VisitWatch track visitors?

You add one script tag to your site. Each pageview records the page, the referring source, an approximate country, the device and browser, and a timestamp. Visitors are counted using a key derived from request properties that rotates every day and cannot be reversed.

Does VisitWatch use cookies?

No. VisitWatch sets no cookies and writes nothing to the visitor's device. Whether that removes your obligation to ask for consent depends on your jurisdiction and on everything else running on your site, so confirm your own position with a qualified advisor.

Do I need to remove Google Analytics?

No. VisitWatch runs independently, so you can keep an existing analytics script in place while you compare the two.

Can I track multiple websites?

Yes. Every plan includes unlimited websites and unlimited team members. The visitor allowance applies across the whole workspace.

Can I track custom events?

Yes. Alongside pageviews you can send your own events, such as a signup or a purchase, and use them as funnel steps and goals.
