Terms of service
Last updated 1 August 2026
Use VisitWatch on websites you own or are authorised to measure. Plans are billed monthly on visitor volume, trials last 14 days and need no card, and you can cancel at any time.
This agreement
By creating a workspace you agree to these terms. If you are agreeing on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you are able to bind it.
The service
VisitWatch provides web analytics: a tracking script, and reports covering traffic, funnels, retention and segments. We may change or improve features over time, and will not remove a core report without notice.
Your account
You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for activity carried out under your workspace. Tell us promptly if you believe an account has been compromised.
Your responsibilities for visitor data
You may only install the script on websites you own or are authorised to measure. As the controller of that data you are responsible for any disclosure your own jurisdiction requires, and for not sending us data you should not collect.
Acceptable use
Some uses are not permitted, and we may suspend a workspace that engages in them.
- Collecting special category or otherwise sensitive personal data
- Attempting to identify individual visitors, or to re-identify the daily key
- Measuring sites you do not own or have permission to measure
- Interfering with the service, or trying to circumvent plan limits
- Reselling the service without a written agreement
Plans, trials and billing
Plans are priced on monthly visitors across your workspace and are billed monthly in advance. Trials last 14 days and do not require a card; if you take no action at the end of a trial the workspace pauses rather than being charged.
You may cancel at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for, and we do not pro-rate part months.
Visitor allowance
Exceeding your allowance does not break anything and we do not discard data. We will email you, and if you remain above the limit for two consecutive months we will ask you to move to a higher tier.
Ownership
You own your data. We own VisitWatch itself, including the software, the interface and the brand. Nothing here transfers either.
Availability
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Planned maintenance is announced in advance where practical. Collection is designed to degrade before reporting does, so short interruptions to the dashboard should not lose pageviews.
Termination
You can close your workspace at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, and will explain why unless we are legally prevented from doing so. You can export your data before closing.
Liability
The service is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, our total liability in any twelve month period is limited to the fees you paid in that period, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. Material changes are announced by email to workspace owners at least 30 days before they take effect.
